Being thankful is something that we all need to be. You might be going though some very hard times, I do not doubt nor will I discredit that. Let's take a minute though to count blessings. Did you wake up, do you have a roof over your head, do you have something to eat or drink today? We are all so blessed to have what we have. I have to admit, my biggest blessing, and the one I often take for granted, my family. No, we are not a picture perfect family. We have arguments, we disagree, we do not always see eye to eye. My family and I have different ways of thinking and of looking at life. Never once, however, have I doubted their love and support on me. There are times when I have not spoken to them for days or weeks because of how much time my work and school take up. And yet the second I walk into my parents house I get welcomes with nothing but positivity.
Out of everyone in my family, I have come to realize the two people that I count on the most and trust with my life are my sisters. While yes, both are younger they are also the reason I am still here fighting to succeed. The number of times I felt like I was alone and felt like I was failing the world, or have felt beyond broken that I just break into tears, I found that both my little sisters have been cheering me one and been there to help me pick up the million pieces that where my life. I can never thank them them enough.
Before questions get asked, its nota one way thing. I will always be there for my sisters. Whether it's for a late night doing homework together or an early morning rise to help them with hair and makeup, and from simple rides to all night movies to chat and rant. We weeks without talking and yet the second that I see them, it's as if no time has passed by. I'm learning that family is forever. Friends will come and go but family, and those that truly love you will stay.
